Emille

Biography

Emille Victoria was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  Coming from a very musical family, her talent was to be expected.  Her father Emilio is a classically trained pianist while her mother Camille is a self taught pianist and guitarist.  Both her siblings are musical as well.  But their talent flourished in the singing department.  From a very early age, Emille was the soloist at children choirs both in church and at school.  This opened the doors of  opportunity for her to experience the studio early on. She recorded a children's album with her choir, then did background vocals for the local singing act Re-Mi which in turn led to recording jingles for commercials like the kid drink "Frutsi" - www.frutsi.com.  This all before she was 10 years old.

She continued to sing at local events but mainly in church.  This was her passion.  During her teen years, she participated in the youth choir group Jah-Nissi who she traveled with all around the island of Puerto Rico.  At the age of 17 she auditioned to be a part of the Latin Continentals  (The Puertorrican division of The Continentals) and was cast as one of their soloist for the tour of 1997.  She recalls this time as one of her favorite journeys in her teens.  She thrived on the life on the road. Especially since every night she got to sing and do ministry at the same time. Shortly after, she was hired to do background vocals for the up and comer salsa singer Obie Bermudez- www.obiebermudez.com- who is now a highly recognized act in latin america.

All this experience trained her well for her biggest opportunity yet.  She attended an open audition for a latin girl group that was being put together by Atlantic Records. As soon as they met her and heard her sing, they told her: "you are exactly what we are looking for!". Shortly after, she signed her 1st record deal as a part of the Latin girl group CHICA and moved to Nashville, TN.

Emille sang with Chica for over 6 years.  They recorded 2 albums in which all girls had their hand on many of the different creative areas of the project, mainly song writing. They toured the Nation and Puerto Rico singing their music and bringing a positive message to all their fans!

Recently Emille has been partnering up with Bill Glass and his organization Champions for life- www.BillGlass.org,  and going into Prisons to sing to the inmates and share some hope and love with them. She also continues to sing at church and any other opportunity that comes her way! Singing is her life and she loves doing what she does!
